Biography
Facefirst was a Belgian foursome that emerged from the ashes of the band Sequoia in November 2006. The original line-up included guitar player Thomas Vielvoye, who left the band in April 2007 due to a lack of free time. He was replaced by Tom "Meule" Lemmens in July.
Other members are Frederik Meuris (vocals and guitar), Jakkerd (drums) and Tom "Frankie" Vansant (bass). Frankie left the band in June 2009, but was quickly replaced by Yannick H'Madoun, who also plays bass in Cover Rangers.
In their short line of existence, Facefirst evolved from a typical punkrock/punkpop band to a more versatile outfit, playing whatever comes to mind. Two of their songs have been featured on Kick Ass Records' Live Fast Die! compilations, their first proper demo Too Ugly For TV was released in december 2009.
In April 2010, the band split up because the band members felt they didn't have the same musical course in mind. Lead singer and guitarist Fred joined punk rock band Second Base shortly afterwards.
