“Love is Pain” is the sixth track of FINNEAS' second album "Optimist".

This song speaks about the price of loving someone, because loving can be nice and wonderful, but it also has its downsides. FINNEAS expresses this all throughout the lyrics, getting darker and darker with time.

In an interview with NEXT, Finneas stated that the track was “a very dark muted red”.
