Never forgotten being absolutely blown away by the first half of their debut. Still not over the split, always in our hearts. x

So, so heartbroken by their sudden split. Here was a band of an incredible calibre, in power, chemistry, and live performance (so I've been told by many), that I was convinced I'd eventually get to see live. Seven years waiting, then the year before I head over to Europe this happens. Absolutely gutted. :( Still remember the way I felt discovering Higher Learning and We're On Our Own in 2008. Must've listened to those songs alone on repeat for a month straight. I knew bigger things were coming and I was right. Every single, mammoth. Every release a monumental one. To say goodbye to such an extraordinary and current band I never even got to see is particularly sad. RIP Exit Calm. http://britpopnews.com/exit-calm-announce-sudden-split/

ditto what that man said about sounding like the verve. I'm down with the music though. Not fond of the vocals, mind. Perhaps they should get Richard in, he's not got much better to do, let's face it.

Probably one of my top 3 albums of the year. What an astonishing debut. Only Tamaryn's The Waves has managed to surpass its shoegaze goodness.

Have the won the contest called "the best fake imitation of The Verve"? seems like they try to do everything like the verve did in "A Storm in Heaven" era. everything. the rhythm, the depth of sound, the vibe, and even the vocalist bends over the backwards to sound like Richard Ashcroft which particulary makes me hilarious. how can you guys get so exicited over the band which doesn`t even have a quarter of abilities and invention in music The Verve definitely had?

Definitely has that "A Storm In Heaven"-era Verve sound. I'm cool with that. :)

Been waiting for it to hit the U.S. iTunes store, but just noticed its available from the Amazon as a download. Finally! I've been waiting for this one since talk on The Boxer Rebellion board made these fellas known to me in late '07.

The Verve can split up and get back together as many times as they want, I don't care anymore. I've got Exit Calm now and their album is sprawling magnificence epitomized.
