“Pirate,” a trap-electronic influenced pop track, is an overpowering anthem about girls not only ruling the world but also making their way to the top like a pirate. It also works as the lead track off their 2021 comeback album, RETURN OF THE GIRL.
In the female-empowering lyrics, the group dominates the seas as pirates gathering girls all over the world ‘to row for the crown.’
The music video showcases the girls not only in a futuristic ship set but also in a rocky yet colorful world where they show off the power they have. As well as the main title itself, one of the members—Mia—is also dressed intergalactic pirate-related, where she is seen sitting down with a pirate patch circling her eye.
