For Estradasphere enthusiasts, you can find a deluxe version of "the pegasus vault" on Tim Smolens (Estradasphere bassist and vocalist) website. Its called "pegasus vault download only EP". It contains more than 10 bonus tracks.

Former members of Estradasphere have united in a new group and will soon release their first album. The first single is available for listening, very good https://highcastleteleorkestra.bandcamp.com/album/the-egg-that-never-opened

Great album. Members of HCTO: Tim Smolens, Dave Murray and Timba Harris from guess where, Chris Bogen (Doc Booger), Bär McKinnon (Umlaut, Mr. Bungle) and Stian Carstensen (Farmers Market) .

I once saw Kevin Kmetz skateboarding and doing tricks on the skateboard while playing the shamisen. It was dope as fuck.

Вроде и авангардно, но чего-то ребятулькам не хватает, не зацепили. Может быть композиторского таланта недостает.

"Hasn't aged well" is an excuse and a very new way to classify something. If you don't like the album as much as you used to, that's fine. You don't hear people say that about classical music "oh this composer hasn't aged well". Anyway, I prefer the first two albums over everything they have done.

Perhaps I used the wrong word there. What I meant is that there is a difference in saying "an album hasn't aged well" and "I don't like this album as much as I used to". When you don't like an album as much as you used to, it doesn't mean the album hasn't aged well. I am not upset by your opinion, maybe I am too concerned about trivialities. :) You have an amazing library, by the way.

Doubt there are any genre these guys struggle to pull off at all. Really impressive that every track is something totally diff from the previous and so on.

When I don't know what to listen to I can just put on this band. They've got a little bit of almost everything that I love in music plus some craziness that just elevates the listening experience to a whole new level. Finally getting to What Deers May Come after listening through Buck Fever=mind blown.

This band never ceases to amaze me. Been digging into all the side projects and other related bands lately. All are well worth checking out... I.S.S., El Douje, God Of Shamisen, Monsters Of Shamisen, Deserts Of Traun, Orange Tulip Conspiracy, Don Salsa. Brilliant stuff. Still gotta hear some of Whooley's solo stuff though...

Yeah, it's so long away that it makes me think it's some kind of prank, but then why would they resurrect their website just for that? It seems like quite an arbitrary time; do they all know that's when they're going to be free to do Estradasphere then? Why not sooner? Perhaps they're not reforming or anything but their albums are going to get reissued. Maybe on vinyl as well as CD. Either way, it's a hell of a long time to wait and find out... I'll stop speculating now.
