There are more than one artist who performs under the name Esque.

1) Esque was a project that released one album, "Strangers No More", on Silver Mine Inc. in 1997.

2) Esque was composer Grant Cameron Burke, who published work under this moniker as early as 1999 with singles such as "Birth of a Nation", "Twilight's Breath", and "Eleventh Hour". He still uses the name today, and his work can be found at most online music retailers under the label Musicesque. More information and music by this artist can be found at various online locations.

3) Esque is a four-piece alternative rock band from Cork, Ireland. The band has performed in small to medium-sized venues around the Republic of Ireland. The line-up consisted of Barry Maher (vocals and lead guitar), Thomas O'Dwyer (rhythm guitar), Jeremy Coleman (bass), and Ivan Touhey (drums). O'Dwyer left in 1999 and was replaced by JJ Buckley (formerly of Hushmoney). The band recorded one EP - "Songs About Something" in 2001, with Aidan Manning on drums in place of Touhey. and disbanded shortly afterward. Maher and Manning went on to form Kilterr, who were active until 2005.

4) Esque is an art-rock group out of Memphis, TN. The band originally consisted of Darren O'Brien on vocals, guitar, and keyboards; Basil Bayne Whatley on bass; Alex Gates on keyboards; and Chase Anderson on drums. Their five-song debut EP, Everyone's Playing, was self-released in the summer of 2006. O'Brien, Whatley, and Anderson moved to New York and, in September of 2010, Esque released the Double Blind maxi-single on 12" vinyl and digitally. Their debut full-length, Tonightmares, followed in April 2011. Martin Richards and Agustin Cichero contributed to the "Confessions", by God, as Told to Peyton Burgess EP, released in October 2011. In 2012, due to the threat of legal action from Burke, the band ceased using the Esque name. A final song, "Skin Show", was released that year as Exesque. O'Brien continues to make music as Wildly.

5) Esque is a screamo band from Pittsburgh, PA.
