Where at Night the Wood Grouse Plays (1999) is the third album by the German symphonic folk/doom metal band Empyrium. Contrary to their previous two albums, this is an acoustic album. The cover art, as in Empyrium's previous album, uses a fragment of a painting by Norwegian artist Theodor Kittelsen..
Re-released in 2006 as a lavishly designed, gold-embossed Digibook of "A
Wintersunset…", "Songs of moors and misty fields", "Weiland" and "Where at
night the wood grouse plays" by Prophecy Productions. All of these are limited
to 500 copies.
PRO 015.
