On the album’s title track, Em continues his criticism of trap and mumble rap. He also responds to the negative reception of his 2017 album Revival. In the chorus, he even compares it to “FACK,” which is widely regarded to be one of Em’s worst songs.

“Kamikaze” and “Fall” were initially inversely mistitled on streaming services, but the error was quickly rectified.

It’s also important to note that Kamikaze is Japanese for “divine wind” and refers to a military tactic that originated in World War II, where Japanese fighter pilots would purposefully crash into enemy fleets, committing suicide in the process. This concept is evoked on Kamikaze’s cover art.
