There was a screamo band called Elder back in the late 2000s. Nowadays even many of the other tags don't make sense for the "big" Elder band. They are a Progressive Rock band now. At least since the last two records. We should try to get Screamo replaced with Progressive Rock. As many people as possible should use the tag Progressive Rock and maybe Screamo gets replaced. Heavy Psych is also a good tag for this band.

Собирался пойти к ним на концерт в питере, буквально месяц оставался, но Попыт опередил меня и впрочем всех.

Dead Roots Stirring is an insanely good album. Always finding myself coming back to it following the disappointment of Omens

To be honest, at first i wasn't very much impressed by 'Omens'. I liked it but that's all. After few spins, it started to sound better and better and by now i can say it's a very, very good album. The way they play their instruments, pushing their boundaries. A great mixture between prog rock, without being boring at all, stoner rock/metal and other influences. I really like when an album grows on me that way. Cheers guys!

I love that they released Embers as the single, and it was the most out of character song on the record. Hugely impressed with Omens already ! AOTY contender?

I'm playing through "Omen" right now and I feel like I'll end up with a single tear of joy rolling down my face by the third song lmao. I've been bummed about probably not seeing Elder live next month, but this made my day.

I secretely wish there could be an instrumental version. :x The album is amazing, but the vocals seem lacking for some reason.

omg yes!! First time I listene dto Omens (which also happened to be my first itme listening to Elder) I said I loved it but would like it better without the vocals. After listening to more of their earlier work I realize the singing in Omens is significantly different, and had it not chagned I think I would've been fine with the vocals in Omens (I guess what I really minded was the singing, not the vocals in itself)

I honestly just wish this band was entirely instrumental. With almost all of their music they bring me in the zone with great instrumentals but then the vocals just completely take me out of it every time. They just don't fit at all imo.

Same, I'm really digging the keys actually, but kept wanting the vocals to not come back after instrumental bits.

Sweet baby rays: I thought to myself as I was driving to work this morning: My album of the year last year was Weyes Blood, my album of the year right now is Fiona Apple. Wouldn't it be funny if I sit down with the Pigsx7 album and that ends up being my album of the year? Because it's funny to consider that something so intensely stoner and niche could ever be considered an "Album of the Year" - then I found this band and, well... Omens might very well be the best musical accomplishment of 2020 by the end of the year.

Same here. I think this moves Omens up to the top of the list of albums I'm most looking forward to.

By keeping you engaged with melodies and atmosphere instead of padding things with mindless noodling and repetition.

Recently discovered these guys. Holy ****, they are awesome. Been listening to Reflections of A Floating World. It gives me that The God Machine vibe, which is just my cup of tea. Anyone else hear The God Machine in there?
