Ed said this song was written about two best friends that fall in love. The boy falls in love first and it takes a while for the girl to feel the same, but, in the end, she does. The two of them are actually Ed’s godparents and he explains the meaning behind the song in the 2012 iTunes Festival.
This song was also featured on the hugely popular drama, The Vampire Diaries.
