"Heat Check" is part of the streaming service version of Voir Dire, replacing All the Small Things. Before the announcement, it was speculated that Heat Check and the other Vince Staple feature songs were part of an early version of Voir Dire.
The snippet of this song was leaked early 2023, as part of a group buy. The group buy was near completion before it was canceled by the seller who had stated that the song the album was in, was coming very soon.
2 Days after VOIR DIRE’s Gala version release, the Heat Check group buy was revived and was completed, with 2 versions of Heat Check, a rough version and a final/complete version with Intro and Outro Skits.
