I want to think that if I behave properly in this life and make a positive impact in the world I might have a chance to reincarnate as Jesse Hughe's moustache in an alternative reality somewhere in time.

From Wikipedia (public domain text): In a video interview[15] taken at a Converse Music-sponsored event at the Soho Revue Bar in London, Hughes states that he and Homme were in a bar watching a man dance to the song "Wind of Change" by the Scorpions. When asked what he was doing, the man yelled, "This is death metal, dude!", to which Homme replied, "No it's not. This is like the Eagles of death metal." An alternative story concerning the origin of the band name claims that the name originated during an exchange in which a friend of Homme was attempting to convert Hughes to the death metal genre. When the friend played a song by the Polish band Vader and made a claim that the song was within the death metal genre, Homme then referred to Vader as "the Eagles of death metal". After hearing this phrase, Hughes wondered what a cross between the Eagles and a death metal band would sound like.[16]

lmao more artists should come up with such comparisons to inspire their aliases, e.g. someone calls themself 'the ac/dc of breakcore' and then proceeds to play drum and bass

Jesse "The Devil"/"Boots Electric" Hughes is a real character. Charismatic, funny and a natural showman. Even removed from the midas touch of his homie Homme, the Boots Electric solo album was a barrel of fun. Much like The Eagles of Death Metal. Queens of The Stoneage feels like a competitive MMA sparring session - intense, energised, mostly serious. Eagles of Death Metal sound like the after party once you win the Heavyweight title. Strange analogy I ended up on, there. But I reckon it gets the point across.

Anyone else noticed that the banner for their last.fm page is locked even though the other pics have more votes than the current one?

Let's see... 1) the man clearly has PTSD; and 2) in any case wanting someone to die because of... assumedly something they said... is objectively irrational and is, I can only assume, a sign of it's own deep-rooted psychological issue. In both cases, you are, unquestionably, as blameworthy as him, and I would argue more so. Thanks.

defends rock star's deplorable behavior by claiming he has a mental illness, then goes on to admonish and judge person for calling out rock star's deplorable behavor and declairs him to have mental illness. so which is it? bad behavior is excused by mental illness and should not be judged, or people who exhibit bad behavior (as determined by you) are mentally ill and should be judged & not excused?
