Some tasteful references to the earlier songs but the moment the chorus from The Root Of All Evil kicks in is where it feels really forced.

This song, as the final installment of the steps is really killer. Reprise of The Glass Prison. As someone with multiple years of recovery, I definitely appreciate the way the steps unfold over multiple albums, both with musical reprises, and the transgression of the lyrical theme. Guy below doesn't get it, and that's cool. I didn't understand what the hell the Glass Prison was about when it came out. I certainly do now. The Glass Prison > This Dying Soul > The Shattered Fortress > The Root of All Evil > Repentance (but all the songs are great).

I agree with several commenters here who mention how forced this song feels. While thematically it makes sense for the finale to be a collection of motifs from previous songs, as a standalone song it lacks the punch of its predecessors. And while I do enjoy the song on its own, once it reaches that "voice of god" section, I am left cold, and not in a good way. (For what it's worth, my favorite from the suite is "This Dying Soul")
