Also, in response to a comment below, and at the risk of turning this into a political/religious argument, DT do sometimes have religious themes in their lyrics but they definitely don't come across as a right-wing band, at least by U.S. standards. "Prophets of War" questions whether the motives of the Iraq war were pure, and several of their songs highlight stigmas surrounding mental disorders, which is not something America's right often discusses (and when they do, it's often to blame shootings on mental illness, which is pretty much the exact opposite of DT's message with those songs). Also, some of their songs criticise religious fanaticism (e.g., "Blind Faith", "In the Name of God", etc.). Their few other political songs tend to be pretty centrist (e.g., "The Great Debate"). That said, this song is a rare case of their lyrics being overly reductionist and simplistic. 9/11 was a horror for sure but terrorism isn't as simple as this song makes it sound.

I don't think I fully realised how complicated and amazing this song is until today. Still don't really like the lyrics, but the song itself is exceptional.

The instrumentals here are great. Vocals and lyrics of DT are as always - meh.... :)

The lyrics in comparison to their earlier stuff honestly aren't the best, but it's still a solid song.

Fantastic song, but I don't really get how most of the instrumental part fits with the theme... the chromatic parts are too jammy. [2]

I was just listening to this for the first time in awhile without realizing that it's 9/11
