On “Girls Want Girls,” Drake and Baby show their admiration for lesbian women and “compare” themselves to lesbians by saying they like women as well.
Following its release, the song received criticism online for its confusing lyrics—“say that you a lesbian, girl, me too”—and for fetishizing lesbians and WLW relationships.
Notably, this isn’t the first time Drake has comparisons like this; on Young Money’s June 2009 song, “Every Girl,” he sneakily raps:
"Are any of y'all into girls like I am? Les-be-honest!"
