On “8 Out of 10,” Drake has an in-depth conversation about his current life state. He realizes that people may judge him for his actions, and come at him, but ultimately he will still get plays.
The song also contains some not-so-subtle digs at Kanye West and Pusha-T, including a direct response to bars from the latter’s diss track “The Story of Adidon.”
The outro samples a late 2017 video from Plies that gained traction as a meme.
Also, an interesting part of the title being “8 Out of 10” is that Drake has dropped a full-length project in eight of the last ten years, starting in 2009, and excluding 2012 and 2014.
