One of my favourite Dre tracks, mostly because he's goes a lot deeper, personal and more honest in his lyrics than in his other songs

I agree with @projectpat42066 ... Mary J Blige was the right one to do the vocals for this track.

The obligatory one great song on the album that actually shows some personality beyond bragging about how awesome Dr. Dre is.

DONT FORGET MARY J ON THE VOCALS. HE DEFINTLY PICED THE RIGHT ONE TO DO VOCALS. IF YOU WANT TO PAINT A VERY VIVID EMOTIONAL PICTURE NOBODY CAN DO IT BETTER THEN HER.

Great track, first heard the beat on a 2Pac remix (One Day ft. Nappy Roots) . . . once I heard the original, I was really taken aback . . . great performance from the Doctor, Mary J. & my main man Rell. If you ever get the chance, peep Cuban Link's "Swimmin wit Sharks" ft. Rell and Rell explains how Lord Finesse linked him up wit Dre for "The Message".

Dr Dre went beyond rap on this joint. IMO, it's his masterpiece, and no one knows about it...

Yeah, it's blissfully beautiful . . . gotta love Rell & Mary J. on the chorus, too.
