Doomed Fate is metal band from Stavropol, Russia. It is the solo project of guitarist, bassist and keyboardist Arthur Kutuzov, who was born on February 25 1991. Doomed Fate was founded in Budennovsk in 2010.
His music can be seen as a cocktail of genres: thrash metal, ambient, psychedelic rock, doom, groove, heavy metal, symphonic black metal, melodic death metal, crossover punk and even polka and rockabilly. Kutuzov found inspiration in the works of many different artists, from guitar virtuosi like Marty Friedman, Wolf Hoffmann and Steve Vai, to experimental bands like Polkadot cadaver, Mr. Bungle, Dog Fashion Disco and Faith no more, to extreme metal like Carcass, Death and Cynic. The atmosphere in almost all the songs is riddled with melancholy, apathy and hopelessness.
The first demo-album Hell In The Earth was released in 2011 and is a compilation of earlier works. Second came The Gates of the other Dimension, which has the best quality recordings and the tracks on it and which is also more eclectic. The Gates of the other Dimension came out on February 24 2012, one day before the birthday of the musician. Currently Kutuzov is getting ready for a third album, possibly the last recorded in a lo-fi environment.
