one of the greatest ALBUMS i've ever listened to. The structure/pacing, the opening and closing track, and length of each song and all together is absolutely perfect. One of the few I ever hit "play all" on [2] I totally agree! :) And I must add that this is the best sounding/produced studio album ever recorded

Excellent stuff, one of the greatest albums ever made. This and Brothers In Arms are the ultimate Dire Straits albums, although all of their stuff is really great. Seriously, I agree with TheBeasley, Love Over Gold is alot like Dire Straits' Wish You Were Here, and this actually could've been a Pink Floyd album. Maybe it is in an alternate universe.

Just ridiculously good stuff! It's so goddamn ridiculous how well Mark Knopfler did include all the emotions to the tracks he wrote. THE Master of guitar....

"Love Over Gold" feels like the "Wish You Were Here" (Pink Floyd) of Dire Straits. Anyways, a fantastic album and a real masterpiece in "Telegraph Road".

All five tracks are great. Telegraph Road steals the show, I can't argue with that.

Telegraph Road is quite possibly the greatest song track to be crafted/recorded so far in the entire history of rock. [2]

Roller girl ... She's making movies, on location; she don't know what it means ... and I don't know why the song isn't here.

Probably the best Dire Straits album, also the best album in general for me I guess, though Brothers in Arms is great, ofcourse. All the songs are amazing, a masterpiece of instruments and lyrics. An other big plus is the fact that I can't get enough of it! I listen the LP every single day, and I still like it a bizarre lot! It's the only album for me that has that 'talent'!

My favourite Dire Straits album (tho I love all of them), and as well one of my favourite albums in general. Two first tracks are just... the best combo of two songs placed one by one on an album I have ever heard. Then, a few minutes to rest and feel the flow of Industrial Disease, and after that - another two outstanding tracks. Some people say, Industrial Disease doesn't fit the album, but I think it fits perfectly. Regards.
