"In The Dark" is a song recorded by Dev. It was released on 25 April, 2011 as the second single of Dev's debut studio album The Night The Sun Came Up. The song was written by Dev and produced by The Cataracs, who produced her entire album. The song is a dance-pop song with a saxophone hook and influences of eurodance, jazz, and latin music.

Speaking to The Idolator, Dev said the idea was to "make a sexy song." She explained: "I'm a grown woman now. I've been working with The Cataracs for the past three years and I met them when I was kind of young and from a small town. I was like, dammit, I'm gonna make a sexy song! So that's what I did." The song went on to be a commercial success, charting on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart for 20 weeks, peaking at #11 and topping the US Hot Dance Club songs chart. It was sent to radio on August 11 of that year, leading to the single to become the most successful song by the singer. In The Dark charted in numerous other countries across the world, including the top 15 in Brazil, Canada, Poland, Russia, and Slovakia. The song was later certified platinum in the United States.
