can’t think of any other song that can make my chest tight, eyes glassy, shivers up and down…literally every time

and I rationed my breaths as I said to myself that I'd already taken too much today...

Pure beauty and nostalgia. This is such a beautiful track. Love how it builds up to an epic bout of emotion.

instant nostalgia back to being seventeen, spiraling down into drug addiction after losing my first love.

Ahhh, this is almost identical in mood, tone and pacing to The Fire Theft, the project band by Sunny Day Real Estate. Like it though. :)

I knew that you were a truth I would rather lose than to have never lain beside at all. <3

Second best song on Plans (Brothers on a Hotel Bed is the best imho). Sad and hopeless but still makes it seem like everything was worth it.

As mush as I love this song, I think it's a little over-produced. I think it would have sounded much better if they didn't use any compression... It takes what is a beautiful riff and makes it a little too aggressive for my taste. For example: how loud the piano is in the intro Beautiful song though

Regardless of what this song is about, I just love the vocals of every DC4C song.

And @ASkn, I don't think it's supposed to be in the sense you're thinking of. Of course you don't have to watch someone die to know you love them. But watching someone die is the hardest thing ever- how many people do you love enough to be there while they die (either physically, or maybe even emotionally- like to stick by someone while they suffer a deep depression?). The people you love the most, you'll be with them through anything- even through those tough moments when you'd rather just skip out because it's easier than sticking around. That's what this song is saying.
