If any 80's band came out with this album, I'd say it was good. But since it was David Gilmour, it's kind of embarrassing...

Had this in the car stereo over the weekend and it's still a great album. You can hear the start of the Dave Gilmour phase of Pink Floyd on this - some tracks sound very similar to 'A Momentary Lapse of Reason'.

Hardly prog ? Shit. Listen to it again. Okay, pretty much song format but this is an excellent album with wonderful songwriting. And it definitely does NOT have an 80s feel to it. LISTEN.

This album has its moments. The lyrics are really weak in places, but the music’s always consistent. If you look though the 80's production you'll find lots of familiar Floyd sounds. Not bad by any means.

I actually like it because it isn't loud. o_o In my opinion, there's only two really loud songs, being Until We Sleep and All Lovers Are Deranged. I think they do a good job offsetting the other pieces which are generally much quieter, if that makes sense.
