90s David Bowie is so underrated. He had a really cool style during that era and the music was pretty good too, not nearly as good as his 70s stuff but those collabs with Trent deserve to be talked about more often.

ok? Yes, I mentioned that Bowie influenced me on some ways, but I never said being a pedo is ok. I listened to some artists and bands that has done problematic shit before, yet I never idolized them for doing it. Heck, I'll admit, I stream some of them illegally to have them not get money from it. Lana did some problematic things before, and yet some of them aren't confirmed to be true. The whole Bowie pedo thing hasn't been confirmed to be true. People just fucking find ways to cancel artists, and get their fans along side with it. But you do you ig, and have a nice day :)

same sometimes when i'm in the mood to listen to bowie i go on spotify and scroll through his discography to choose an album but there's way too many to pick from so i take ages trying to actually settle on one to listen to so in the end i just end up shuffling a bowie playlist instead and its a never ending cycle

Am I the only one who thinks the Ziggy Stardust era was actually one of his less interesting ones? Not saying it wasn't great, but to me he only got more interesting with Diamond Dogs and the Plastic Soul era. His peak years, to me, are from Station To Station (possibly my favorite album of any artist) until Scary Monsters, and I loved how he revitalized his creativity from Black Tie, White Noise/Buddha of Suburbia onwards, culminating in his final masterpiece Blackstar. As great as Ziggy Stardust was (and it absolutely was!), there were still greater things to come!

The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars is a lot of people's favorite and a nice starting point, but Aladdin Sane/Scary Monsters (and Super Creeps) are both fairly accessible albums. Heroes and Station to Station are also pretty good as long as you aren't turned off by either of their less approachable aspects (Heroes's atmospheric B-Side and Station to Station's intimidating title track). Honestly I think you can point at any of his well regarded albums and have something to enjoy but those are definitely the best "starting points".

One of the first big concerts I went to was "Serious Moonlight" tour at the old Sydney Showground in Moore Park. https://www.last.fm/music/Models supported. It was pretty darn good y'know.
