"Dancing with boys" would be the English translation of the original Danish group name of the band.

The bands origin can be traced back to 1963 - as the two members: Henrik Stanley Møller and Klaus Kjellerup, have created music together ever since they were 12, in different bands, although playing apart in 1967-70 and much of the 80's.

Their first joint band effort came together in the early 70's and was named "Shitriders" - the band was made up of 7 members playing electric latin music inspired by Getz & Gilberto. It didn't last long, before they split up.

They formed another group in 1978, the legendary danish pop band: "Tøsedrengene" (the wishy-washy-boys). The music was now in reggae style, and fronted by female vocalist Anne Dorte Michelsen and Maria Bramsen.

Kjellerup left the band and started working as a reporter/journalist - at the same time producing 2 solo records. Stanley joined him in 1989, when a new band was formed: "Klaus Kjellerup Band", which led to the present group: "Danser med drenge" in 1990.

They made their debut CD in 1993, which to date has sold in over 200.000 copies. The female vocal was Philippa Bulgin. She died of cancer later that year, which dissolved the band. But to honor Philips the band went on composing, and a new female vocal was found in Rie Rasmussen with the rusty voice.

The theme of the band is: death, farewell, accident and sorrow - caused by the death of Philippa - and it caused the shadow-name: death-cult.

The second CD "Så længe vi er her" was released in 1994 and also sold well.
