Biography
Ever since he was a kid, he has been amazed by video games. In 1995, he started making his own games together with his coder and musician friend Tobias Carlsson. They used Commodore’s Amiga as their platform and he was in charge of drawing pixel art in Deluxe Paint. At this time he also started writing music with Pro Tracker. They created many games although few were completed. In 2001, he started working as a concept and 3D artist at Massive Entertainment, which was his first real job as a game developer.
Since then, he gradually shifted focus over to composing and sound design which is almost exclusively what he does in games today. Part of what he loves about writing music for games is the challenge. You constantly have to extend your comfort zone to create something that fits with the game. His background is in chip tunes, electronica, break beat, drum n bass, noise and general sound creation. Today he has expanded into other territories like orchestral, big band, jazz, indie pop, surf, toy, rock, hip hop and whatnot. Generally he just tries to find things that are fun to mix together.
