I wanted to like this but the waking hour sounded pretty clumsy, some good ideas but the execution wasn't great.

You have good taste in music. Try it again. Ideally at the end of the day while you're laying in bed with the lights off before you go to sleep. It's not something to fall asleep to, but good for winding down.

I'm speechless, too. I've been a Peter Murphy fan for a very long time but never knew about this project. I'm listening to it on Spotify right now and it's utterly majestic. The 1984 and 2012 albums are so seamless that I honestly didn't know they were two different ones released nearly 30 years apart. I had to look closer to even notice. Unbelievable talent and an instant favorite!

I’m honestly speechless.. InGladAloneness in some ways picks up right where the first one leaves off, Peter’s voice is eerily youthful as though recorded back then and stored away till now .. but what Jansen brings to the table is very distinct, and in many ways creates a brand new sound. It is both obviously Dalis Car, and yet much more so reminiscent of Japan than The Waking Hour ever was. As sad as it is for me, tends to leave me somewhat hopeful and upbeat.

Mick's final work has yet to be released and is a collaboration with Peter Murphy as 'Dalis Car 2'. The duo were reunited in a studio in Oxford at the end of September last year to begin work and four tracks were completed over the ensuing months - a slow process due to Mick's declining health. Steve has just finishing mixing the four tracks which will be released as an EP. More news to follow soon on this including release date. http://www.mickkarn.net/

My best wishes to Mick and his family - if you're not aware Mick Karn, whom I consider to be the best bass guitarist in the world is quite ill with cancer. Wouldn't it be AMAZING if he and Peter actually complete another Dalis Car project!?!?? Can't wait!!!

Good news. Peter and Mick are going to reunite for recording the second Dali's Car album after September, according to Peter.
