DEF.DIVA was a Japanese pop group, formed in September 2005 under the Hello! Project idol umbrella. It consisted of Natsumi Abe (安倍なつみ), Rika Ishikawa (石川梨華), Maki Goto (後藤真希), and Aya Matsuura (松浦亜弥).
Abe, Goto, and Matsuura were soloists that had formerly joined together as the group Nochiura Natsumi (後浦なつみ), and Ishikawa was the leader of the group v-u-den (美勇伝). All but Matsuura had also previously been members of Morning Musume (モーニング娘。).
The group was announced to be a special unit for 2005, but in 2006 they reappeared to sing the support song for the baseball team Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles. Since then, the group has been inactive. Goto has also graduated from Hello! Project entirely, so it is unlikely the group will see a revival.
