Cynthia Rhodes (born November 21, 1956) is an American actress, singer and dancer. Her films include Flashdance (1983), Staying Alive (1983), Runaway (1984) and Dirty Dancing (1987).

Rhodes was born in Nashville, Tennessee. Her skills as a dancer were seen in music videos by Toto (including the video for the 1982 hit single "Rosanna") and in her husband's video for the song "Don't Mean Nothing." Also danced for the band The Tubes when they toured in the early '80s. Rhodes enjoyed a stay of success in the late 1980s as a singer with the pop group Animotion. Their song "Room to Move" was a Top Ten hit on the Billboard charts.

On January 8th 1989, Rhodes married singer/songwriter Richard Marx. Together they have three sons: Brandon (born 1990), Lucas (born 1992) and Jesse (born 1994).
