Brother is an amazing album. I remember my parents cranking it in the car, when the gas was cheap, and we would go on car rides all the time. They loved Cry of Love.. they thought they were a glimmer of hope in the music scene, as they alway listened to 70s classic rock, and liked that sound the most.. they were sick of '80s glam metal hair bands, and they didn't care for grunge, so these guys and The Black Crowes were huge to them.. I always thought they were from the mid '70s, until a few years ago I was reading the linear notes, and it read 1993 which blew my fucking mind.... RIP Kelly Holland.

Sem dúvida uma das melhores bandas que pude conhecer. O disco Brother tem músicas sensacionais! Audley Freed é um gênio! Grooves e riffs poderosos do início ao fim, isso sem falar dos solos matadores como o de Pretty As You Please. Nota 10! Diamonds and Debris também não fica pra trás - embora eu ainda prefica Kelly Holland ao Robert Mason - o disco tem excelentes músicas como Fire In The Dry Glass e Empty Castles. Cry Of Love é show!

One of my all-time favourite bands, especially the Brother album...for me it's one of those magic albums where it's impossible to find a bad track. For me that type of album doesn't happen often. If you can, you should try to find Cry of Love's cover of "I Ain't Superstitious". Audley's guitar work is amazing on it ;)

Cry Of Love is still one of my favorite bands of all time. Of course Audley Freed is amazing, but the other three guys in the band are phenomenal too! Kelly Holland combines Soul of Aretha Franklin with the rawness of Bon Scott and Rod Stewart. Robert P Kearns has a beautiful melodic yet solid style of playing the bass. In my opinion he's right up there with the best of the best such as Andy Fraser, Allen Woody and Felix Papalardi. Jason Patterson is a very inventive and highly skilled drummer who can play Jump Style Blues just as convincingly as Hardcore.
