An excellent classic rock song that is quite iconic. The first CCR song I knew about. I became aware of it thanks to a sample of it in Encarta back in the 1990's.

For Donald Trump to play this song at a rally is laughable. Did nobody listen to the lyrics? Tone deaf morons!!! 🌸⚓🌸

ღ The senators sons who weren’t sent to Vietnam in the 60s were themselves sending less fortunate young men to war three decades later.

Holy shit, John Fogerty's vocals on this! There are some songs that are sung like the writer really, really means it and this is one of those songs, unreal passion and anger.

Most iconic film scene/song pairing of all-time, in my opinion. Incredibly moving.

My first time when i heard this song was Battlefield BC2: Vietnam as menu music. That was really fantastic for me, I listened "Fortunate son" again and again for several months. Since that time and now CCR still be my favorite band. Sorry for my english.
