Common Eider, King Eider is the nom de plume of British-born experimental musician Rob Fisk.

His other projects include Badgerlore and 7 Year Rabbit Cycle. He used to be part of the original lineup of San Francisco based noise group Deerhoof, from 1991 to 1999. During this period, Fisk authored the cover art for the albums The Man, The King, The Girl and The Runners Four

In 2002, Fisk, alongside his wife Kelly Goodefisk, founded the small record label Free Porcupine Society. It was started to release the 7 Year Rabbit Cycle album. The label continued as a way for Rob Fisk to create limited-edition hand made packaging for CDs, LPs and books for "no wave hermit folk- dirt pirate dance- avant breadmaking field recordings".
