I hit 500 listens today of Miss Green - I celebrated by listening to both albums on vinyl back to back, because getting up off the sofa and having to put the records on then getting up to change sides does mean a much more total engagement with the music. I love the convenience of digital, but the physical mediums are still a really important part of the whole process for me. But I have long been of the view that don't waste your time hating and love all the mediums and acknowledge they all have a time and a place. I am lying in bed listening on Grado SR325i headphones on a Fiio E9 and E7 DAC with my Macbook and it is just beautiful. Much love to you all.

She is that kind of artist - seemingly simple appeal, but a complex and increasingly rewarding listen. She hasn't released anything that I haven't loved immediately or grown to like once the appropriate time is given in its appreciation.

New LP is awesome, her show the other week in Glasgow was great and I met her afterwards and she was the definition of a modest, down to earth dude.

Man don't put Carson Daly running free on your tv set or else you're going to end up ranting how fucking "what the hell is this shit" Colleen Green is.

Her cover of Good Good Things is one of the most interesting things I've heard recently. But the whole image thing should not matter, so I don't get why they're pushing it.

Colleen Green debuted with this album, on cassette, in 2010. Now Art Fag Recordings has re-released Milo Goes to Compton on LP. Doing so was a worthy project, if for no other reason than to pull the sheen of her pop songs out of their gritty comfort zone and imprint it onto vinyl. The comfort zone, and perhaps Green’s desired aesthetic, seems to be to make shout-outs to early punk and other kinds of 70s rock (Descendents, Ramones, Little Peggy March).
