She has a penchant for Texas singer songwriters, early Bonnie Raitt, and Mississippi Hill Country Blues. Christy also owes much of her influence to traditional Old Time and Bluegrass music. Recent influences include Kathleen Edwards, Steve Earl, Lucinda Williams and James McMurtry, to name a few.
