Producer, Songwriter and Ivor Novello winner Chris Braide has achieved considerable success as a songwriter in the UK and the US. He is one of few British songwriters of late to reach multi million record sales in the United States. In a 2005 article for GQ magazine, Braide was among the most successful and influential men in the music business under 40 years of age.

He has recently written and produced songs on the platinum selling album’s by James Morrison, Will Young and The Saturdays.

Chris Braide is currently producing and writing for Cheryl Cole, Diana Vickers, Westlife, Lisa Marie Presley, The Saturdays and JLS on their forthcoming albums. He has also provided backing vocals on the new Robbie Williams album.

He co-wrote "This Is the Night" and “Invisible” recorded by American Idol’s Clay Aiken. “This Is The Night” entered the Billboard Hot 100 in June 2003, debuting at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart. It was the biggest US single of 2003, selling over one million copies and reaching 6 times platinum status in Canada as well as number 1 in New Zealand.

Aiken’s breakthrough follow up single “Invisible” became one of the most played songs on US radio the following year and earned Braide two ASCAP awards

"Anything Is Possible" was a number one single for Pop Idol winner Will Young In 2002, selling 1,108,659 copies in its first week and over 1.7 million copies in total. The song was also the B-side of the debut single by Gareth Gates, which sold over 1.4 million singles in the UK. The song earned Braide the prestigious Ivor Novello award the following year.

He has written songs for Kylie Minogue, Beverley Knight, Squeeze' Glenn Tilbrook and the UK number 3 single for x factor winner Leon Jackson. Chris wrote the UK number one single “Have You Ever” and the Uk number 2 single " Say Goodbye" for S Club 7.

Braide co-wrote the debut single for RCA recording artist Diana DeGarmo. "Dreams" debuting at #2 in record sales and #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2005. Braide also co-wrote DeGarmo's follow-up single "Emotional".

Disney artist Jesse McCartney released his debut album Beautiful Soul. It featured a song co written by Chris Braide "Because You Live”. McCartney's album has since gone on to sell over 1.5 million copies and has achieved platinum status. The song also featured as the title song of The Princess Diaries soundtrack album, which has sold over 1 million copies.

In 1996 Braide signed a solo deal with Dave Stewart's label Anxious Records. The label released the single "If I Hadn't Got You" followed a year later by the album, Life in a Minor Key. The single was released in the US by Atlantic Records and a performance video was shot in Times Square.

Braide recently set up Untouchable Songs Ltd. The label look after the back catalogue of Glenn Tilbrook and Squeeze. He is also the owner of a West London recording studio called Untouchable Sound.
