“The One I Die For” (also known as “Die 4” or “The One I Die 4”) is an unreleased song by Charli XCX.
The song was recorded during sessions for Charli’s original scrapped third album concept in 2015, but due to leaks and suspected issues, it remains unreleased. It was produced by StarGate and SOPHIE and was co-written with Noonie Bao & StarGate.
The song is about Charli regretting leaving and hurting someone in her life and missing them. She also talks about regretting hurting someone and being sorry for it in songs like "No Angel", "February 2017", and "Blame It On Your Love" and says that this person is the one that she'd "die for".
