Biography
Change of Seasons were formed in mid-1987 by neighbourhood friends Marc DiGirolamo (bass) and Mike Caricari (guitar, vocals). As they developed they invited Marc's cousin, Rico Gasbarro to play drums and then wanting a fuller sound added Cameron Gray on guitars and vocals.
Debuting in a high school gym in their home town of Toronto, Canada they went on to debut proper at Toronto's 'The Slither Club' in March 1988 and then opened for the likes of The Chills, The Verlaines and The Wedding Present.
Summer '89 and April '90 saw the release of 2 cassettes "Up North under Opulescent Skies" (9 songs) and "Pretty Mouth" (9 songs), respectively. It was from "Pretty Mouth" that Egg Records heard the band and made plans for a single release.
In March of '91 Mike and Cameron moved to Glasgow and Change of Seasons where back in a high school gym, further to recruiting local bassist (Scott) and drummer (Cliff Henderson). They debuted in Glasgow in June of that year and played a few gigs around town. The single "You Again"/"Soft Spoken" (EGG 008) was released in August. A few songs also made it on to compilation LP's and cassettes e.g. Souvenirs from Egg Records.
The end of the summer of 1991 saw Cameron return to Toronto and ultimately forming Tugboat.
