“LET GO” is Central Cee’s sentimental track where he vents his feelings and reminisces on times he had with an unnamed woman, causing him to feel depressed and emotional. The track’s beat samples Passenger’s February 2012 single “Let Her Go.”
Shortly after posting the snippet, Central Cee removed it and proclaimed that he wouldn’t release it as his girlfriend, Madeline Argy disapproved of it since he called females “hoes.” Central Cee questioned Madeline for her opinions on the snippet, to which she simply responded with “no.”
On December 11, 2022, Madeline posted a TikTok, singing along to the lyrics, where she decided to approve the song with the caption “change my mind.”
On December 14, 2022, days after Madeline changed her thoughts, Central Cee surprised his followers with a snippet on Instagram, simply captioning it “tomorrow.”
