the point of re-master was probably legal. they left their previous label Ultimae Records. And after that happened they started to release remastered albums.

Two weeks passed and many listens later, I've warmed to Hydroponic's remaster. The original is always there in its glory but if you take the remaster for what it is, a much "colder" sound if that makes sense, then it is deserving of its own little place on the shelf among CBL's other works.

@SysLocal Agreed. Tensor in particular was shockingly stripped bare. I'm determined to give it multiple listens but the first impressions weren't great.

This album gets better with each and every listen. I first heard it in 2008 with my first CD order from Ultimae and I honestly didn't care for it. But over the years it quickly grew to be one of my absolute favourites. Perhaps even surpassing WoS. No doubt an ambient classic! So yeah, totally agree with Journik850.

Amazing album. Strange in that just about everyone who's heard it has fallen in love with it, but it still somehow seems underrated to me.

Absolutely exceptional. These two have some real talent for creating soundscapes, and they certainly don't mind getting a bit groovy in the process.

This album is probably one of the most sophisticated pieces of ambient trance music made till now. The production value is aeon's ahead of the rest artists out there. The last track transcends you into a warping timeframe foreseeing the unseen...
