This is the re-recorded version of “Nervous Young Inhumans”, originally seen on Car Seat Headrest’s 2011 album, Twin Fantasy.

The music video for the song includes two side-by-side videos of frontman Will Toledo singing the song. The music video also cuts off the spoken word outro.

In the vinyl edition’s lyric sheet, this song is subtitled “(A Song About Art Theft)”.

From Will’s interview with Peyton Thomas:

"Maybe (the stylistic change) was Adam Stilson’s influence – he has a very 80s schooling, so it’s an interesting contrast with my own influences. We ended up with more synths and drum pads this time, but obviously, none of it is very 80s.

The vocal line changed because the original was a real drag to sing, you can hear I’m struggling with it on the first version."
