The American television network CNN (Cable News Network) pioneered the idea of a 24-hour news network in 1980. The network is headquartered in Atlanta, GA and has studios in New York, NY and Washington, D.C., and Los Angeles. It is a division of the Turner Broadcasting System and is owned by the Time Warner company. In addition to their television coverage, CNN publishes podcasts daily, available on their website or through iTunes.
