Fuck it - as of now, this is my favorite song of all time. "Jungleland" can move to the runner-up spot for now.

?? The lyrics aren't "gibberish" haha. It's an account of a loved one sitting by the bedside of a comatose veteran, placing images of their intimacy alongside images of the war as an incredibly evocative protest song that works due to its focus on the individual. A huge part of Bruce's m.o. has long been focusing on the individual to then zoom out and make a broader point about longer society with the character as a case study; this goes back to "It's Hard To Be A Saint in the City" but all-time greats like "Born in the U.S.A", "The River", "Streets of Philadelphia" are all examples of this, and this song is in that same tradition, capping off a very angry and often broad, philosophical protest album with a straightforward yet poetic look at the grief and loss underpinning that protest - before ending on a note of unfounded hope as ambiguous as the beloved "Atlantic City" and cult favorites "Reason to Believe" or "Valentine's Day". This is one of his best-written songs.

Absolutely fucking beautiful song that brings one of his best albums to an unbelievably strong finish. Epic, underrated, brilliant, and masterpiece are all great words I'm happy to see here.

For You is an epic visual storytelling time machine that encourages you to hop on for a ride down thunderous roads to simpler times for a journey through the heart of darkness where the fans feel so close and intimately personal with Springsteen like he's an old college buddy. This book is not just a fine addition to your collection, but is essential for any Springsteen fan. It is a treasure trove of pictures and stories that will not just take you for a ride down memory lane, but will leave you with an impenetrable sense of hope much the same way you feel cruising down the highway and having 'Thunder Road' blast from your speakers with the wind in your hair. When was the last time the written word did that?" www.foryoubruce.com
