I always sing: "Saaaaaaaaaan-ta Claus is coming to town!" - to the opening part.

i really love the allusion he makes to "the second coming" by w.b. yeats. i was reading the poem in class today and it was strange to recognize that line because it's natural be exposed to references in order (original than inspired), so i was thinking that "slouching towards bethlehem" was common phrase that originated in the bible. so i looked it up and i just really like when i get references in songs.

This song is so amazing. Heard it for the first time a week or so ago and I instantly knew this would probably be one of my favorites from Cassadaga.

there's bodies decomposing in containers tonight, in an abandoned building where the squire's made a mural of a mexican girl with fifteen cans of spray paint in a chemical swirl. she's standing in the ashes at the end of the world, four winds blowing through her hair.
