New Jersey native Brian Fallon of the Gaslight Anthem has released his solo
Brian Fallon, the singer-songwriter-guitarist of the New Brunswick-originated Gaslight Anthem, has debuted his new single, "A Wonderful Life," from his forthcoming solo debut album, "Painkillers," and will return home to New Jersey on March 12 to perform at Starland Ballroom in Sayreville.

The Red Bank native will release the disc on March 11 on Island Records, also the home of Gaslight Anthem, which announced an indefinite hiatus this summer.
Produced by Butch Walker (Taylor Swift, Frank Turner, Keith Urban), the album was recorded at Nashville's Taxidermy Studios with a band that includes Walker, drummer Mark Stepro (Hayes Carll, Ben Kweller, Jackson Browne), and Catherine Popper, bassist in Fallon's Americana side project, Molly & The Zombies, who's also worked with Jack White, Ryan Adams & The Cardinals, and Willie Nelson. Popper also will be in Fallon's touring band, along with Gaslight Anthem guitarist Alex Rosamilia and Ian Perkins, Gaslight Anthem's guitar tech and touring guitarist and the other half of Fallon's other side project, the indie duo the Horrible Crowes.
A tour will kick off Jan. 7 in Maine and continue throughout April with other area stops on Jan. 19 at Studio at Webster Hall, New York City, and March 8, The Electric Factory, Philadelphia. Additional live dates will be announced soon, including a full-scale world tour following the album's release.
The Gaslight Anthem announced plans this summer to go on a hiatus following a successful European tour that culminated in a headline show at London's Shepherds Bush Empire and appearances at England's Reading and Leeds Festivals. "Get Hurt," the band's acclaimed fifth studio album, reached No. 4 on the Billboard charts upon its release last year.
