One of three Brenda Lee Christmas singles released (or re-released) by Decca during the 1964 holiday, "Jingle Bell Rock" was her take on the Joe Beal-Jim Boothe tune popularized in 1957 by Bobby Helms. It reached #10 on the Billboard "Best Bets For Christmas" survey, and was even more popular three years later, peaking at #8 in 1967.
