@shimbo-dono for one (major) thing the untitled final track is longer, like the japanese version (and totally worth it) though I'm not sure if it's exactly the same. also it contains a slice of Vein right in the middle - fitting perfectly - plus Umbrella is longer and ends leading into "after me" which is an afterlude to... I totally forget, Lazer Beam I think.

I know the basic differences between the American and Japanese versions of this album, but are there differences between the LP and CD versions as well (besides a re-arranged track-listing due to logistical reasons)?

Wait am I the only one where in my Japanese version of Smile there is no guitar except for the solos?

Phorque hit the nail on the head there. Smile live at Wolf Creek is an amazing album.

My Neighbor Satan changed me in a very odd way, and can still bring me now where it brought me then, way into the gap and the static.

Well shit, I've finally come to the conclusion that I enjoy the JPN release far more than the Southern Lord. You Were Holding an Umbrella, My Neighbor Satan, and ボーナストラック absolutely seal the deal.

Japanese version has a more noise rock sound, US (at least, CD version) has a more stoner metal sound. Example: the track Statement (JPN) and Statement (US).
