Everytime I play this song for someone (People unfamiliar with Boris) they say "That is the WORST guitar playing I've ever heard! Turn this off!" They just don't understand....

love the sleaziness of the solo contrasted with the smoothness of everything else. So awesome

Something continuous that connects grey scenes Something blurred that is off-frame, illuminating tones You are looking at the sky that is going to be shakier Something swing that could be a pendulum Something dark that is deteriorating, illuminating tones Raindrops are falling, and touching you Flicking off the droplets gently, feeling the breeze We'll have the same colours Flood of colours that replaces the grey scenes An amplified swing that blows up the tones Without touching, could I ever chance? When will it be, could I ever tell? Without touching, could I ever change? Raindrops are gaining colours Flicking off the droplets gently, feeling the breeze We'll be looking at the same sky

that solo just wouldn't be the same without that tone... it tears all of my being into shreds, through my ears and into my head to turn my brain to confetti

yeah, i neither know what was the purpose of that walnut guitar tone, but it did the mind-work effect. i guess understanding the lyrics could take us closer to the answer.
