Biography

Blood and Water started taking shape in the Summer of 2006, when the band released their first EP. After a few years of local shows, the band released their first LP independently. New release in hand, the band started touring regionally, opening up for national acts like The Classic Crime, No Use For A Name, The Audition, Hawk Nelson, Lincoln Brewster, The Wedding, Showbread, and many more. The band also began playing CA-based festivals like Rock Of Ages, Joshuafest (drew 750 to the side stage), and the traveling fest, "Extreme Tour". Singles from the first LP received some airplay on Live 105's "Soundcheck", Broken FM, and consistent rotation of their music video on Gospel Music Channel's "Rock Block".

Strong reviews/interviews with a slew of mags and e-zines, and some mild airplay helped move roughly 400 units within the first month. The band is currently working with several new drummers, as well as prolific radio promoter, Shane Boyd. The band is currently booked to play several festivals this Fall, including a main stage slot at Joshuafest this year. With the release of their new album, along the radio support and promotional backing of Eden Records: Blood and Water seems poised for a breakthrough.

Blood and Water is currently signed to the SF-based Indie label, Eden Records, and is endorsed by/affiliated with C28/Not Of This World Clothing, Viper Drums, Indie Vision Music and TOMS Shoes. The band also did a recent photo-shoot with acclaimed photographer, Ryan Russell (Paramore, Foo Fighters, Death Cab For Cutie).
