I approached this band with their first album expecting another thrash band imitating Sepultura or Kreator and I was surprised. And it was a pleasant surprise, since although they play thrash they have a noticeable influence of melodic death metal as well, giving a sound of their own, good band.

The Butcher of Rostov is their best song and Andrei Chikatilo is the best serial killer. For Faen is their best!

I'll take this over most of that retro, throwback bullshit that's all over the goddamn place now, being played by kids who weren't even alive when the first Exodus album came out and yet still feel the need to rip off everything about them.

"Godbeater" is one of the best tracks I herd for a long long time. It is definably one of the highlights of the Thrash Revival.

Hmm, the not-so-subtly altered "Divine Intervention" riff, the "The Call Of Ktulu" chord progression and the vintage 'Iron Maiden' guitar harmonies (failure to spontaneously spot these probably makes you a poseur, I dunno) makes the new album not altogether unpleasant but still pretty derivative. Still, I've heard worse melo-thrash this year.

They are thrash/death. Theres no other way to explain it. But they are awesome, and Pete is a really nice guy.
