"Hunter" is about the desire and willingness to leave behind what is known and venture into the unknown in search of self-discovery and personal growth. Björk may have started out on a particular path but realized that it was not right for her and needed to find her own way. The outro "You just didn't know me" implies that others may not understand her journey, but she asserts her own agency and autonomy in carving out her own path.
