This song seems to be a tribute to Reunion's 1974 hit "Life Is a Rock (But the Radio Rolled Me)" more so than a remake of, or a tribute to, "Eve Of Destruction" - which does receive an encomium here via the shared chorus. "Life Is A Rock (But... )" is most likely the inspiration for the R.E.M. song "It's the End of the World as We Know It (And I Feel Fine)" and the Barenaked Ladies hit "One Week" - as well as, unfortunately, a series of commercials for a "so-called-free" credit-report company. Also, Reunion's song itself may have been inspired by the early sixties song "I've Been Everywhere" by Hank Snow, among others. http://www.last.fm/music/Reunion/_/Life+Is+a+Rock+(But+the+Radio+Rolled+Me)

this song has nothing to do with Mcguire's political anthem and it doesn't do it any justice.

Anyone else notice that beginning of this song sounds like the freecreditreport.com commercial song? They totally ripped off Bishop Allen!!!
